As well as sealing the deal to bring Robinho to the blue half of Manchester, he also set about trying to entice Valencia's David Villa into a move to City and an attempt at snatching Dimitar Berbatov from under the noses of rivals Manchester United.

As well as ambitious bids for high profile players, Al-Fahim also spoke openly about his ambitions and plans for Manchester's 'second club'.

Dr Sulaiman Al-Fahim told the Guardian:

"Ronaldo has said he wants to play for the biggest club in the world, so we will see in January if he is serious," he stated.

"Real Madrid were estimating his value at $160 million (roughly £90m) but for a player like that, to actually get him, will cost a lot more; I would think $240 million (£135m). But why not? We are going to be the biggest club in the world, bigger than both Real Madrid and Manchester United."

Other bold targets for City include Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas and Liverpools's Fernando Torres. It is thought they will look to raid the two clubs for their stars in the January, however it seems unlikely that the Spanish pair will join Robinho in his decision of relenquishing Champions League football.
Robinho Criticised By Pele

While many luminous figures of world football have openly criticised Robinho on his move to Manchester City, it will surely be Robinho's idol Pele whose words had the most damning effect.

The legendary Brazilian who, like Robinho, was a Santos hero has seemingly shown outrage and almost a degree of disgust at the former Real Madrid man.

"This boy needs some serious counselling" Pele was quoted as saying on football365.com.

Other criticism has come from Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon, Santos President Marcelo Teixeira and current Santos Manager Jose Fernandos.

Potential Probe into United's Berbatov Signing

Manchester United actually agreed a medical and personal terms with Berbatov before they were granted permission from North London club Tottenham Hotspur sections of the media are reporting. While Tottenham did accept a bid from rivals Man. City, the Bulgarian was flown to Manchester airport where surprisingly he was met by United Manager Sir Alex Ferguson who 'escorted' Berbatov personally to Old Trafford.

All this came despite Tottenham agreeing a fee with United. It would therefore seem as though United had acted against the rules in the singing of Dimitar Berbatov. For a while it was looking as though Tottenham would launch a formal complaint on the matter however an agreement for United to loan striker Frazier Campbell seemed to trigger a Spurs change of heart.

It is still unclear whether United will be probed on the matter.

how to download mugen character

<img style="float:left; Planet Earth would be much healthier without people.

In the name of progress, mankind has irreversibly plundered our environment and humans now pose the biggest threat to nature. Our atmosphere is warming at an alarming rate, the arctic ice cap is rapidly melting and the all-important lungs of the world -- our precious rainforests -- are disappearing at breathtaking speed.

Only if humans die out, which is increasingly likely due to our brazen greed and disregard for the sanctity of nature, will this planet have any chance of recovery for the untold damage we have caused.

That's the dark and depressing opinion I recently heard being expressed by a somewhat jaundiced eco warrior. This sullen view of the world begs the age old question as to what is more important -- humans or the environment?

To a positive thinker like myself, this question seems just as absurd. Surely we have just as much right to life on earth as the birds and the trees.

It is not, for me, a question of the survival of either mankind or nature. It is certainly possible to coexist and to flourish. We have woken up to the plight of our environment and there is growing understanding and awareness of the acute need to protect our biosphere. Of course we must all do much more, with greater speed and more zest.

Indonesia is a natural resource-rich country. It can still boast some of the world's most magnificent rainforests, which are home to millions of species whose survival is inextricably linked to ours.

Unfortunately, these forests are being depleted at a frightening speed. According to Greenpeace, the nation's forests are disappearing at the rate of six football fields every minute.

In spite of sound environmental laws in Indonesia designed to conserve these priceless forests, successive governments have appeared impotent in preventing their demise.

Illegal logging remains rife, and it is estimated that tens of thousands of low paid workers are employed by corrupt gang masters to obliterate these cherished resources. While some efforts have been made by this government to put a stop to this heinous activity, thousands of trees are being unlawfully felled every day.

Open cast mining is another massive threat to Indonesia's forests, most of which is being done in direct contravention of the law and yet is audaciously practiced without interference from the authorities.

This is a scourge which is not only depleting the forest cover, but is also responsible for acute water pollution.

Forest fires, which are commonly caused by the ill-informed belief that burning is the best way to clear land, has claimed millions of hectares in lost forest across the Indonesia archipelago. And the carbon dioxide emitted has elevated Indonesia to the unenviable position of number three in the league table of greenhouse gas producers.

If this is not imposing enough stress on Indonesia's forests, unprincipled commercial enterprises are making matters worse by shamefully exploiting the resource without regard for the law or respect for the environment.

After flying over some of Indonesia's most threatened forests, the fundamentalist eco warrior may not be alone in thinking that the planet would be better off without us.

But there are millions of Indonesians living in forest areas who are dependent on their surroundings for their survival. It would be impractical, yet alone morally unacceptable, to tell these folk that they must ring fence the trees and abstain from deriving their livelihoods from their natural surroundings.

It is certainly possible for both people and planet to coexist. Just as ridiculous it is to suggest that our environment will prosper if only we were to disappear, it is equally ludicrous to believe that mankind can survive without a healthy environment.

We have to find a way to balance ecological with human imperatives. That is what sustainable development is all about. Meeting today's needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own requirements.

Over the past twenty years, environmental groups have been lamenting the fate of Indonesia's forests, warming of a looming catastrophe, not only for Indonesia but for the whole world.

More recently, these environmental groups have focused their attention on commercial enterprises operating in forest areas. They have accused big business of accelerating the rate of damage to heights never been seen before.

Campaigns have been waged by the likes of the Worldwide Fund for Nature and WAHLI to change the behavior of destructive forestry companies.

Some more enlightened enterprises have woken up to the call for sustainability. One such company is APRIL (Asia Pacific Resources International Holdings Limited) which has one of the world's most advanced paper and pulp mills in the Sumatran province of Riau.

Concerned about the future of Indonesia's forest resources and it reputation in overseas markets, APRIL decided to introduce sustainable management practices across the hundreds of thousands of hectares of land for which it is responsible.

Sadly, not all players in Indonesia's forestry industry have embraced sustainable practices.

Thankfully, conservation campaigners are continuing their efforts to name and shame such recalcitrant enterprises. If the government is unable to make them change their ways, let's hope that environmental activists will.

It's time for Indonesians to demand more responsible corporate behavior. The nation cannot afford to lose more of its high conservation value forests. The time for sustainable management strategies to be adopted by all companies in the forestry sector is long overdue.

I've seen great positive strides being taken in this country since the fall of Suharto. I believe that Indonesian business is capable of reform, and in adopting sustainable management solutions. This will certainly help silence the fundamentalist position that the world would be a better place without humans.

Tobacco farmers protest fatwa plan on smoking

East Javanese tobacco farmers visited the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) Surabaya branch on Friday to protest the fatwa body's plan to declare smoking forbidden according to Islamic teachings.

"We are protesting MUI's plan to issue a fatwa declaring smoking as haram," Tobacco Farmers Association chairman Amin Subarkah said, as quoted by Tempointeraktif.com.

Subarkah said it was unfair to make a smoking haram on the basis that it could be bad for some people. For those of you who are here for the first time, I hope you find something you'll like. Regular visitors might have noticed a new look to the site. This will be just the beginning of all the planned updates and, hopefully, lots of new recipes.

The Recipes..

Indonesian food is still little known. Here you'll find all the more popular dishes, like "Nasi Goreng", "Beef Rendang", "Sate's" and a range of fiercely hot "Sambals". Dishes will be added on a regular basis.

Ingredients..

For some of you the ingredients used in my recipes might look unfamiliar. I have therefore set up a few pages where we'll delve a bit deeper into those herbs, spices & vegetables. Most of those can be obtained from your larger supermarkets or your local asian shop. There are also plenty of online traders who will supply you with all your needs. Failing that, wherever possible, I have indicated suitable replacements.

Olympic medalists urged to prepare for next challenge

ndonesia's triumphant shuttlers are looking to put aside the Olympic euphoria for their next challenge at the Taiwan Grand Prix early next month.

Badminton coach Christian Hadinata urged the players to keep focused on training.

"Besides the Olympians, we are also preparing new players for upcoming events that could serve as a warm up for the Southeast Asian Games and Asian Games," he said on the sidelines of the presentation ceremony for Indonesian Olympic medalists in Jakarta on Wednesday.

The Taiwan Grand Prix will run from Sept. 9 to 14, followed by Japan Superseries (Sept. 16-21), China Masters (Sept. 23-29), and Macau Grand Prix (Sept. 31-Oct. 5).

However, doubles player Markis Kido already looks forward to next year's All England, where he and his partner Hendra Setiawan are yet to claim glory.

"We are proud about our achievement at the Olympics. Ship a hacked iPhone there to a nonexistent employee and hope the device sits in the mailroom, scanning for nearby wireless connections.

How about stealing someone's computer passwords? Forget trying to fool the person into downloading a malicious program that logs keystrokes. A tiny microphone hidden near the keyboard could do the same thing, since each keystroke emits slightly different sounds that can be used to reconstruct the words the target is typing.

Hackers at the DefCon conference here were demonstrating these and other novel techniques for infiltrating facilities Friday.

Their talks served as a reminder of the danger of physical attacks as a way to breach hard-to-crack computer networks. It's an area once defined by Dumpster diving and crude social-engineering ruses, like phony phone calls, that are probably easier to detect or avoid.

As technology gets cheaper and more powerful, from cell phones that act as personal computers to minuscule digital bugging devices, it's enabling a new wave of clever attacks that, if pulled off properly, can be as effective and less risky for thieves than traditional computer-intrusion tactics.

Consider Apple Inc.'s iPhone, a gadget whose processing horsepower and cellular and wireless Internet connections make it an ideal double agent.

Robert Graham and David Maynor, co-founders of Atlanta-based Errata Security, showed off an experiment in which they modified an iPhone and sent it to a client company that wanted to test the security of its internal wireless network.

Graham and Maynor programmed the phone to check in with their computers over the cellular network. Once inside the target company and connected, a program they had written scanned the wireless network for security holes.

They didn't find any, but the exercise demonstrated an inexpensive way to perform penetration testing and the danger of unexpected devices being used in attacks. If they had found an unsecured router in their canvassing, they likely would have been able to waltz inside the corporate network to steal data.

To keep the phone running, the researchers latched on an extended-life battery that lasts days on end. But they only really need a few minutes inside a building to test the network's security.

"It's like saying, once you get into Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory, and you're in the garden where everything's edible, you have it all," Graham said in an interview.

The attack won't work, of course, if a company's wireless network is properly secured. In that case, Graham and Maynor said there's likely no big loss: the package that had been sitting in the mailroom would probably be mailed back to them so they could try it again elsewhere.

Another talk focused on new twists to Cold War-era espionage tactics that could allow criminals to sidestep the locks on computer networks.

Eric Schmiedl, a lock-picking expert and undergraduate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, outlined several surveillance methods long used by government intelligence agents that have become more accessible to garden-variety criminals because of the falling price of the technologies.

For example, Schmiedl said even low-budget criminals now have a way to eavesdrop on conversations through a window. It involves bouncing a beam from a laser pointer off the glass and through a light sensor and audio amplifier.

If the people inside the room are close enough to the window, their conversation creates vibrations that the equipment can translate into a crude reconstruction of the conversation, Schmiedl said.

"We're burning the candle at both ends," he said. "The technology is becoming easier and cheaper and anybody can do it. And at the same time there's more incentive now to do it. These are two trains on a collision course. The question is when they're going to collide."

South Korea company clones dog, produces 5 pups

Bernann McKinney says he beloved pit bull "Booger" saved her life when another dog attacked her, then learned to push her wheelchair while she recovered from a severe hand injury and nerve damage.

He died in 2006, but now he's back - at least in clone form, after the birth last week of puppies replicated by a South Korea company.

"Yes, I know you! You know me too!" McKinney cried joyfully Tuesday, hugging the puppy clones as they slept with one of their two surrogate mothers, both Korean mixed breed dogs, in a Seoul
laboratory. "It's a miracle."

The five clones were created by Seoul-based RNL Bio in cooperation with a team of Seoul National University scientists who in 2005 created the world's first cloned dog, a male Afghan hound named Snuppy.

It is headed by Lee Byeong-chun, a former colleague of disgraced scientist Hwang Woo-suk, whose purported breakthroughs in stem cell research were revealed as fake. Independent tests, however, proved the team's dog cloning was genuine.

Lee's team has since cloned some 30 dogs and five wolves, but claims Booger's clones, for which McKinney paid $50,000, are the first successful commercial cloning of a canine.

The procedure, which costs up to $150,000, is drawing criticism from animal rights groups which oppose cloning pets. They say it can lead to malformed offspring and exploitation of surrogates and egg donors, as well as unfounded claims that the new animal is an exact copy of the original.

"It's fraught with animal welfare concerns and it does not bring back a loved o," said Martin Stephens, vice president for animal research issues at The Humane Society of The United
States, based in Washington.

"A dead animal's DNA does not guarantee the offspring will be identical to the deceased. It takes more than just genes to create an animal," said Stephens, who is a biologist.

He said the cloning process also subjects hundreds of dogs and cats to invasive procedures as egg donors and surrogates. According to a report released by The Humane Society in May, 3,656 cloned embryos, 319 egg donors and 214 surrogates were used to produce just five cloned dogs and 11 cloned cats who were able to survive 30 days past birth.

There are millions of homeless dogs and cats in the U.S., Stephens said, and "we don't need new sources to compete with animal shelters and reputable breeders."

McKinney, 57, a screenwriter who taught drama at U.S. universities, contacted Lee after her dog died of cancer in April 2006. She had earlier gone to U.S.-based Genetics Savings and Clone but it shut down in late 2006 after only producing a handful of cloned cats and failing to produce any dog clones.

The Korean scientists brought the dog's frozen cells to Seoul in March and nurtured them before launching formal cloning work in late May, according to RNL Bio.

"The cells' status was indeed bad as they had been stored for a long time," Lee told The Associated Press in a phone interview.

"But the scientific technology has also developed compared with when we cloned Snuppy. There is no room for any doubt over whether they are real clones," said Lee, whose team has identified the puppies as Booger's genuine clones. His university's forensic medicine team is currently conducting reconfirmation tests.

Lee said the five clones, which share identical white spots below their necks, were all healthy though their weights vary slightly.

McKinney said she was especially attached to Booger because he saved her from an attack by another dog three times his size. She suffered severe injuries to her left hand and damaged nerves in her leg and stomach, and spent part of her recovery in a wheelchair.

McKinney said Booger acted as more than a canine companion as she recuperated. He pulled her wheelchair when its battery ran out, opened her house door with his teeth and helped her take off her shoes and socks, even though she never trained him to do so.

"I believe that Booger was an angel that God rented out to me for short period of time," she said. "And he knew I would be lost without him, so he sent me some more. He sent me five more mini-Boogers."

She said she has named the clones Booger McKinney, Booger Lee, Booger Ra, Booger Hong and Booger Park, after herself and the South Korean scientists who achieved the cloning.

McKinney said she will take three of the cloned dogs to her home in California, where she lives with five other dogs and three horses. She plans to donate the others to work as service dogs for the handicapped or elderly.

RNL Bio charges up to $150,000 for dog cloning but was paid a third of that by McKinney because she is the first customer and helped with publicity, said company head Ra Jeong-chan.
Ra said his firm eventually aims to clone about 300 dogs per year and is also interested in duplicating camels for customers in the Middle East.

Hindu Bali ceremony blesses animals

Every 210 days backyards around Bali come alive with the blessings of the animals, known as Tumpek Kandang. This is the red letter day birds, monkeys, pigs, cattle and other animals look forward to -- a day to dress up and party.

Few animals know how to party better than monkeys. They perch on the sidelines at Ubud's Sacred Monkey Forest as the official business of blessings and offerings takes place, squealing in anticipation of the feast about to begin. A handful of delinquent monkeys can't control themselves and dive into the offerings, stealing eggs, papaya leaves and anything else that's remotely edible.

The piggies, on the other hand, are the picture of restrained elegance. Piglets are bathed and brushed, while porky parents accept with grace the holy water and prayers. The feast can wait.

Song birds that fit in the palm, such as the perkutut, go spa side with a flower bath given in tender thanks for their dawn warble.

As for the humans, Tumpek Kandang is a time for dads to teach their daughters another ancient Balinese Hindu ritual.

'Afrika! Afrika!' gives back to culture

London is a city of performances with a smorgasbord of musicals, plays and concerts to choose from every day. One unique show now on tour is Afrika! Afrika! - a circus show with a mission that opened early this year to rave reviews and thunderous applause.

The show donates 1 euro from each ticket sold towards supporting African cultures via the Art in Africa Foundation of the German Commission for UNESCO. This support intends to make a lasting contribution to the further development of the African cultural industry.

Afrika! Afrika! is worth every euro of the ticket price. Curated by Viennese Andre Heller, it has acrobats, music, dance and sports from across Africa.

But don't expect a narrative in Afrika! Afrika! Instead, it offers variety from one act to the next. Angolan Makaya Dimbelolo is particularly exhilarating in the Spider Dance, moving so sinuously that he inspires awe - such as when he squeezes his entire body through the head of a tennis racket.

"Snake Girl" Nokulunga Buthelezi complements his act later in the show by living up to her nickname. The contortionist bends her legs up to her neck, and then places her arms behind her thighs in a yoga-meets-magic moment.

In another act, a group of acrobats from Gabon and Tanzania build a human pyramid - and gives the audience something else to cheer about when, one by one, the acrobats tumble from the top to land gracefully on both feet.

One of the show's favorites is Martinique strappado artist Jean-Claude Belmat, who uses ropes to create beautiful spins and on-air moves. The breathtaking dance he creates up on high is a wonderful work of art that goes one better as the house lights dim to points that shine down on him like starlight.

A great surprise - and delightthroughout the two hour-plus show is that the performance goes beyond the borders of the African continent. For instance, basketball gets a hip-hop dance makeover by young and energetic African-American performers on unicycles. French dancers also contribute to the show with a breakdance routine.

"Afrika! Afrika! is based on the idea that people all across from Africa get the chance to present their culture, their capability and their country. Doudou Di*ne, the United Nations representative, brought to mind that this project shouldn't forget people of African derivation, whose ancestors were forced to start living in another country and, more often than not, another continent," said Pamela von der Heide, the show's press relations manager.

"Today, artists from almost 20 African countries, from France and from the United States do all typify Afrika! Afrika!" she added.

In the name of Africa, this global show has generated more than 1.5 million euros in its first season, with the funds channeled to six projects in music, film, literature and the arts that were selected by UNESCO's Art in Africa Foundation and the Goethe Institut.

The funds are used from buying indigenous African-language books for a local library, to developing modern curricula for young African musicians, and to creating a short film contest on Africa for screening at next year's Berlin Film Festival.

It's amazing that these performers come together from around the world to stage the vibrant culture of a great continent for international audiences. Buteven more amazing is that the Afrika! Afrika! team's efforts go beyond the stage and beyond entertainment towards doing something more: giving back to their motherland.

In this age of reality shows and contests that are all about individual winnings, perhaps it's time we looked back to the founding concept of the stage: art for the community.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://mgsismail.blogspot.com/2008/09/afrika-afrika-gives-back-to-culture.html' title=''Afrika! In the eyes of God, people are valued based on their piety," she told the discussion organized by nongovernmental organization Arus Pelangi.

"And talking about piety is God's prerogative to judge," she added.

"The essence of the religion (Islam) is to humanize humans, respect and dignify them."

Musdah said homosexuality was from God and should be considered natural, adding it was not pushed only by passion.

Mata Air magazine managing editor Soffa Ihsan said Islam's acknowledgement of heterogeneity should also include homosexuality.

He said Muslims needed to continue to embrace ijtihad (the process of making a legal decision by independent interpretation of the Koran and the Sunnah) to avoid being stuck in the old paradigm without developing open-minded interpretations.

Another speaker at the discussion, Nurofiah of the Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), said the dominant notion of heterogeneity was a social construction, leading to the banning of homosexuality by the majority.

"Like gender bias or patriarchy, heterogeneity bias is socially constructed. It would be totally different if the ruling group was homosexuals," she said.

Other speakers said the magnificence of Islam was that it could be blended and integrated into local culture.

"In fact, Indonesia's culture has accepted homosexuality. The homosexual group in Bugis-Makassar tradition called Bissu is respected and given a high position in the kingdom.

"Also, we know that in Ponorogo (East Java) there has been acknowledgement of homosexuality," Arus Pelangi head Rido Triawan said.

Condemnation of homosexuality was voiced by two conservative Muslim groups, the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) and Hizbut Thahir Indonesia (HTI).

"It's a sin. We will not consider homosexuals an enemy, but we will make them aware that what they are doing is wrong," MUI deputy chairman Amir Syarifuddin said.

Rokhmat, of the hardline HTI, several times asked homosexual participants in attendance to repent and force themselves to gradually return to the right path.

An Indonesian Among 153 Killed in Spain Plane Crash

A Spanish airliner bound for the Canary Islands at the height of the vacation season crashed, burned and broke into pieces Wednesday while trying to take off from Madrid, killing 153 people on board, officials said.

Howard Stringer, you have a problem. Your company’s new video game system just isn’t that great.

Enlarge This Image

Ever since Mr. Stringer took the helm last year at Sony, the struggling if still formidable electronics giant, the world has been hearing about how the coming PlayStation 3 would save the company, or at least revitalize it. Even after Microsoft took the lead in the video-game wars a year ago with its innovative and powerful Xbox 360, Sony blithely insisted that the PS3 would leapfrog all competition to deliver an unsurpassed level of fun.

Put bluntly, Sony has failed to deliver on that promise.

Measured in megaflops, gigabytes and other technical benchmarks, the PlayStation 3 is certainly the world’s most powerful game console. It falls far short, however, of providing the world’s most engaging overall entertainment experience. There is a big difference, and Sony seems to have confused one for the other.

The PS3, which was introduced in North America on Friday with a hefty $599 price tag for the top version, certainly delivers gorgeous graphics. But they are not discernibly prettier than the Xbox 360’s. More important, the whole PlayStation 3 system is surprisingly clunky to use and simply does not provide many basic functions that users have come to expect, especially online.

I have spent more than 30 hours using the PlayStation 3 over the last week or so and may have played more different games on the system — 13 — than probably anyone outside of Sony itself. Sony did not activate the PS3’s online service until just before the Friday debut. Over the weekend a clear sense of disappointment with the PlayStation 3 emerged from many gamers.

“What’s weird is that the PS3 was originally supposed to come out in the spring, and here it came out in the fall, and it still doesn’t feel finished,” Christopher Grant, managing editor of Joystiq, one of the world’s biggest video-game blogs, said on the telephone Saturday night. “It’s really not the all-star showing they should have had at launch. Sony is playing catch-up in a lot of ways now, not just in terms of sales but in terms of the basic functionality and usability of the system.”

Sadly for Sony, the best way to explain how the PlayStation 3 falls short is to explain how different it is to use than its main competition, Xbox 360. When I reviewed the 360 last year, I wrote: “Twelve minutes after opening the box, I had created my nickname, was in a game of Quake 4 and thought, ‘This can’t be this easy.’ ”

I never felt that way using the PlayStation 3. With the PS3, 12 minutes after opening the box I realized that Sony inexplicably does not include cables to connect the machine to a high-definition television. Keep in mind that one of Sony’s main selling points has been that the PS3 plays Blu-Ray high-definition movie discs. But high-definiton cables? Sold separately. The Xbox 360, by contrast, ships with one cable that can connect to either a standard or high-definition set.

Then, before you are even using the PS3, you have to connect the “wireless” controller to the base unit with a USB cable so they can recognize each other. If you bring your PS3 controller to a friend’s house, you’ll have to plug back in again. The 360’s wireless controllers are always just that, wireless.

If there is one thing one would expect Sony to get perfect, though, it would be music. Wrong. Sure, you can plug in your digital music player and the PS3 will play the tunes. But as soon as you go into a game, the music stops. By contrast, one of the things I’ve always enjoyed most on the Xbox 360 is being able to listen to my own music while playing Pebble Beach or driving my virtual Ferrari. Doesn’t seem too complicated, but the PS3 can’t do it.

Enlarge This Image

In that sense it often feels as if the PlayStation 3 can’t walk and chew bubble gum at the same time. In the PS3’s online store (which feels like a slow Web page) you can access movie trailers and trial versions of new games, but when you actually download the 600-megabyte files, you’ll be stuck watching a progress bar crawl across the screen for 20 or 40 minutes. Astonishingly, you can’t download in the background while you go do something that’s more fun (like play a game). On the Xbox 360, not only are files downloaded seamlessly in the background, but you can also shut off the machine, turn it on later, and the download will resume automatically.

The PS3’s whole online experience feels tacked-on and unpolished. On the Xbox 360 each user has a single unified friends list, so you can track your friends and communicate with them easily, no matter what game you are in. On the PlayStation 3 most games have their own separate friends list and some have no friends function at all. There is a master list as well, but in order to communicate with anyone on it, you have to quit the game you are playing.

There are some high points. The multi-player battles in Resistance: Fall of Man are excellent. The arcade-style action in the downloadable Blast Factor is suitably frantic.

But the list of the PS3’s disappointments remains, from its undersupported voice chat to its maddening cellphone-like text messaging system. (In frustration I ended up plugging in a USB keyboard.) Overall, Sony seems to have put a lot of effort into cramming as much silicon horsepower under the hood as possible but to have forgotten that all the transistors in the world can’t make someone smile.

And so it is a bit of a shock to realize that on the video game front Microsoft and Sony are moving in exactly the opposite directions one might expect given their roots. Microsoft, the prototypical PC company, has made the Xbox 360 into a powerful but intuitive, welcoming, people-friendly system. Sony’s PlayStation 3, on the other hand, often feels like a brawny but somewhat recalcitrant specialized computer. (Sony is even telling users to wait for future software patches to fix some of the PS3’s deficiencies.) The thing is, if people want to use a computer, they’ll use a computer.

Through the decades of the Walkman and the Trinitron television, Sony was renowned as the global master of easy-to-use, seamlessly powerful consumer electronics. But recently Sony seems to have lost its way, first in digital music players, in which it ceded the ergonomic high ground to Apple’s iPod, and now in home-game consoles. For now Sony’s technologists seem to have won out over the people who study fun.

The UEFA Champion League

The UEFA Champions League (European CUP, or CL) is a football competition of seasonal clubs. Champions League is organized by UEFA (Union of European Football Associations), the controlling force of European football. Football club, which wins the Champions League, receives the trophy European Champion Club’s Cup, which is considered the most prestigious club trophy.

The tournament first started in 1955, when the teams played two matches, and the winning team started the next round of competition. Later, in 1997, the tournament was renamed to UEFA Champions League. The championship in its current format is open to the league champions of all UEFA member associations. Real Madrid FC and AC Milan have won the competition three times.

In 1958, the Munich air disaster took lives of 23 of 44 passengers on board, players of the Manchester United football team, flying home from the European Cup match against Yugoslavia. After the tragedy the team finished the season, and reached the final of FA Cup.

The Champions League tournament begins in mid-July, and the Champions League final match takes place the following May. An association rank in the UEFA coefficients table defines the number of positions each group receives in the competition, and also the stage at which the association enters the competition. Each association sends maximum four clubs each season to play in Champions League.

The competition receives public and media attention: millions of viewers watch Champions League videos live on-line, read news articles and watch the matches on TV. Champions League has always been the center of public attention, being the most prestigious sport competition in Europe.

Bowling Pins Come In Different Shapes and Sizes

Duckpins are shorter and squatter than duckpins. Canadians fivepins between the size of tenpins and duckpins but have a thick, 1- inch- wide rubber band around the widest part of the pin to increase pin action when struck. Candlepins are different to the others. These pins are the tallest of all at 15 ¾ inches, but only a little over 2.9 inches wide, and weigh 2 lb 8 oz. They almost look like a candle, nearly cylindrical in shape. Not like other bowling pins, candlepins maybe set on either side.

Bowling pins are created by gluing blocks of hard rock maple wood into the vague shape, and then forming them on a lathe. After the lathe shapes the pins, they are coated with a plastic material, painted and finally covered with a glossy finish. Due to shortage of the suitable wood, efforts to make an all-plastic bowling pins have been undertaken for many years.

These are the different types of bowling pins there is:
Winsom pins are made in Asia.
Brunswick "Max" is the current pin with the trademarked crown logo.
AMF Sumo pin is a novelty pin based on the very popular Sumo bowling ball.
A rare AMF pin, violated Brunswick's crown logo trademark, and was discontinued.
Brunswick "Flyer" is one of Brunswick's first injection molded pins. Injection molding made the coating thicker than the original dipping process.
Brunswick mixer was the last in the series of plastic dipped for Brunswick.
Vulcan Vultex II. Vulcan was a competitor to both AMF and Brunswick, which eventually bought by Brunswick. It is a surlyn coated injection molded pin.
Brunswick "B" Maxis an early version of Brunswick "Max" pin.
The Brunswick Killer "B"
Brunswick PBA gold pin is a 33lb 10 oz pin and is heavier than the normal pin; these pins can only be used in PBA tournament play.
Brunswick WWF "The rock pin", and Candle pin.

The different types of bowling pins mentioned above are the ones existing or being displayed in PBA.

There are bowling pins sold in the market today. Many online sports shopping sell different sports equipment, and accessories. Likewise, bowling pins can also be purchased; some pins may not be made from hard rock maple wood but from plastic.

The Use of CD’s and their future?

CD’s initially started off as music on discs or audio format in the mid-to-late 1980’s. CD-R’s (R means recordable) then became popular when being produced cheaply. CD ROM’s (ROM means Read Only Memory) then shortly followed to provide data discs for computers which can not be written on.

CD-Rs – written to once only. This obviously didn’t help if you had made a mistake in creating your CD and was a waste of a disc, which was expensive back in those days. Unlike a cassette, where you could record over and over (do you know anyone who still owns a cassette these days?). Therefore, the CD-RW (CD-Rewritable) was created which means you could write over the data several times. The discovery of CD duplication and CD copying has also helped to keep the compact disc alive.

CDs today are used in all sorts of industries today. Obviously, the music industry is the main source of most of the discs we have around the house. However, over the past 5 years, CDs have become an essential tool for marketing, selling, promoting, learning, informing and many, many more. Examples are:

# Promotional CDs – marketing companies use them as handy aids to distribute either by post, or to hand them out at conferences

# Music/Audio – Artists use them to record albums and also use as language learning aids.

# Training – You can put a whole training manual onto 1 CD which is far cheaper to produce and much easier to send.

# Software – This is the most used second to music.

These are but just a few uses for CDs.

We all receive CDs in the post as part of product recognition or sales. Newspapers give us freebies with either music or software. CD printing has allowed these forms of marketing to be customized to improve the effectiveness of the overall campaigns. At the moment the demand for CDs is on the increase and looks to remain that way for the next few years anyway. However, just as it’s predecessor, the cassette, the CD may be superseded by the USB stick.

Shopping for a Piano: Acoustic vs. Digital

The most serious piano teachers will adamantly point their students in the direction of an acoustic piano. For serious piano studying, I agree with this completely for reasons I will discuss shortly. But for many reasons, a genuine handcrafted instrument may not be the best choice for you. With the affordability, portability, and the many features that come with digital pianos, you may wish to head the other way. Summarily, the question of acoustic versus digital boils down to a matter of authenticity versus everything else.

Mostly, the drawbacks of an acoustic piano are matters of practicality, such as price. For what you could get a new, decent quality digital piano with, you’ll be dealing with a rather meager acoustic. This can encompass a number of problems. For instance, aside from any tuning it might need, the overall sound quality of a cheap acoustic piano can be quite poor. This may not just be an issue of old strings, but can result from an infinite number of possible factors arising from any of the complex mechanics of the piano being in disrepair. Other common problems of old pianos are broken keys and sticky keys, which is when the keys fail to spring up the way they should. There may also be faults with the framework that can range from nuisances to impending hazards. The trouble of a bad acoustic continues indefinitely, and the piano may need a decent amount of initial maintenance, in addition to periodic maintenance, which is likely to pull a few additional large bills out of your wallet right way.

Also, because of its bulk and weight, an acoustic may be a very difficult accommodation for people living in tight or elevated spaces, such as dorm rooms and certain city apartments. Some buildings may even prohibit pianos, particularly on floors above the ground level because the weight and bulk of pianos make them quite cumbersome and possibly hazardous to either the tenants or the buildings themselves. This raises the issue of portability as well. Do you gig? Do you relocate frequently? Toting a 500 pound upright piano isn’t possible for most people; moving one across the room is a challenge for most people. If your music needs to be ready to go, your hulking wooden companion is not going to be sympathetic.

Acoustic pianos also lack the many features present in digital pianos nowadays that may be valuable tools to you. For example, volume control may be necessary in dormitory, or close living, situations. Newer digitals also come with a suite of onboard functions, including on-the-fly recording, voice customization, electronic metronome, and even music mixing features, which you won’t have. You will also lack the benefit of porting your music to your PC; a simple MIDI connector would feed your performance directly into your computer’s audio card without any ambient noise or loss of sound quality, which will probably beat any recording made with an acoustic piano and consumer grade recording hardware available at a neighborhood electronics store.

With an acoustic, you will surely be at, at least, some degree of inconvenience. Still, despite the great deal of effort digital piano makers have put into their product, none have been able to truly reproduce the sound and feel of a good acoustic piano. First, lets talk about the piano sound. To most people, casual or occasional listeners of piano music, the resulting sounds between an acoustic piano and a digital piano are quite identical and equally satisfactory musically. But listen closely, because there is an important difference.

A digital piano outputs high quality recordings of the sounds that were made by a real piano at one time. During the process of making a digital piano, each key of a real concert grand piano is struck a number of times at varying velocities and recorded with sophisticated equipment to be used as the digital voice. This will give the digital piano a sufficient range of tonality and an overall likeness to the sound of an acoustic piano in varying music dynamics. But once the notes have been recorded and finally integrated with the digital piano’s voicing mechanism, they are never going to be changed. Even though the aesthetic quality of the sound is state of the art, it is the way the sounds should behave but cannot because they are fixed recordings that is the fundamental problem of digital pianos.

An acoustic piano uses a complex array of hammers, strings, a soundboard, and other moving parts that function in collaboration. This means that when any note is played, it is not played with entire independence, but is highly affected by the current state of the surrounding components of the piano. For example, playing a chord on a digital piano will simply result in three notes being played, as they were recorded individually, at the same time, whereas with an acoustic piano, the three notes will interact with each other through the soundboard and become a stew of vibrations, producing a different, more complex, and ultimately richer sound. Lacking this quality, what comes out of digital speakers will typically be quite boring and unsatisfactory to aficionados of the true piano tone.

An acoustic piano is also an analog instrument, which means is has virtually infinite range. For example, there is no limit to the loudness or softness a note may be played on an acoustic piano. With digital pianos, there is a point at which a minimum or maximum will be achieved. This means there will be occasions when you will not be able to play a note as softly or as loudly as you wish. In order words, true pppp or ffff are probably beyond the reach of digital pianos without you resorting to adjusting the volume dial while you’re performing. Even if you were to do that, the tonal quality of the notes would remain static from that point on, when it would further continue to dull or brighten on an acoustic piano.

Another problem of digital devices is the matter of intervals. In photography, for example, pixels are the intervals. With a traditional film camera, the amount of detail you are able to capture is theoretically unlimited because film is a single and continuous malleable body. The “film” of a digital camera is not single or continuous but is a multitude of pixels, each of which is only able to record a solid block of color. The amount of detail a digital camera is able to capture will depend on the how small the pixels are and how tightly they’re packed together. If the pixels, or intervals, are small enough and packed tight enough, the amalgam of the blocks of color they record will appear to be smooth curves and gradients to the human eye.

There is a similar issue of intervals with digital pianos, which is mainly the issue of touch sensitivity. Digital pianos have a finite number of intervals when it comes to key pressure. The more intervals there are and the closer they are to each other, the more realistically the piano will respond to your dynamics. High end digital pianos will have quite a lot of them. But digital pianos within the means of average shoppers may not have sufficient sensitivity. This means that while the vast difference between piano and forte may be noticeable, the most intricate variances of touch pressure may be disregarded. This will be quite a nuisance to pianists seeking a highly responsive instrument, particularly when it comes to meticulous classical music.

It also manifests in pedaling. Piano pedals are ranged. Between simple on and off, or up and down, there are degrees. Half-pedaling and quarter-pedaling are crude terms describing the manner of pedaling in which the pedal is only pressed partially down in order to create an intermediate effect. For instance, rather than completely depressing the pedal so that the full brilliance of a note is sustained, you may wish to depress it only half way to dampen about half of the note and let only the remainder of it sustain for a subtler, suppressed quality. Certainly a scrupulous pianist will wish to employ the complete range of pedaling available to him, which may not be represented entirely accurately in a digital piano.

Aside from sound, as mentioned previously, key touch is also an important issue. Digital piano makers these days have gone to great lengths to reproduce the feel of acoustic pianos. For the most part, they’ve done a good job. They’ve even gone as far as implementing graded hammer action, which is in line with the hammers of acoustic pianos gradually becoming lighter from left to right. As a matter of fact, if you could take a look at the inner workings of a digital piano, you would be quite surprised and impressed with the complexity of the hammer mechanics. However, as long as digital pianos look the way they do, being the shape and size they are, there is going to be a limit as to how authentically the key feel can be made.

The hammers on a digital piano are simply extensions of the pianist’s fingers. When the pianist presses a key down, it will raise the opposing lever, which touches the electronic pad inside the piano that serves as the string. The hammers on an acoustic piano do not behave this way. Instead of being extensions of the pianist’s fingers, they are rather like projectiles that are sprung toward the strings high above them. Imagine the carnival game where you must hit a pad on the ground with a mallet, which flings a projectile up the meter towards the bell at the very top. The finger is the mallet, the visible piano key is the pad, the hammer inside the piano is the projectile, and the string is the bell. First of all, this means if you press a key all the way down but not with the minimum amount of force needed, the projectile hammer will never leave its seating and the string will actually never be struck. Secondly, this launch-pad-like action feels quite different than the seesaw-like action of digital piano hammers.

The only way this can truly be reproduced in a digital piano is by the use of bona-fide acoustic hammers. And there’s nothing wrong with doing that. But the problem is there isn’t enough room for them inside the compact size of most of the digital pianos today. That’s why as long as they look the way they do, the action of digital pianos will not feel completely akin to that of acoustic pianos. Larger, higher end models do integrate the acoustic hammer action simply to recreate the key feel. Even higher end models, which are called “silent pianos,” integrate strings as well and are bona-fide acoustic pianos with the added ability to remove the strings from the action and toggle on digital mode in order to provide volume control! But these tend to be even more expensive than acoustic pianos.

These are the basic points to think about when shopping for your piano. To restate what I said at the beginning of the article, it really boils down to the authenticity versus everything else. And the authenticity is usually going to cost you more to get. What you should think about is how important it is to you that the piano truly resembles an acoustic. Are you a classical piano student looking at a long road of perfection and possibly a career as a concert performer? Then a digital piano is probably not what you want to be practicing on, even as a temporary substitution. I would suggest taking financing an acoustic and using your relatively small budget of cash as the down payment. If this is not necessarily what you’re going for, then perhaps a digital reduction is all you really need. For most people, it is.

download your favorite music free!!!!

you can search your mp3 with mp3 search engine from iJigg , MP3 Realm , 4shared, WrZuta, esnips

just click in here

Watch TV Shows Online For Free-20 Benefits

How to Watch Online TV with PC 2007 Elite-Advantages

Benefits of Watching TV Show Online with PC 2007 Elite Edition.

I want to share with you an opportunity that I have used to watch online TV show for absolutely free on my pc. Watch real & uncensored World news and TV shows without doctoring

Most of the normal TV news and content is doctored to suit the government policies on broadcasting,. This restricts the kind and type of TV shows that networks like FOX, CNN, CBS, NBC and ABC can broadcast.

The end result is that we get half baked, censored, unreal TV news. Online TV shows are however uncensored and contain a lot of real things that happen world over.

For example, news coverage of the Iraq war is very different when you watch Al Jazeera compared to what you are given in CNN and other American News networks and channels.

10. This will ensure that you don’t use up all your computer space storing movies, TV shows and sports.

15. Turn your pc or laptop into a mega station super TV screen

One thing that the satellite TV softwares for online television do to your computer is to turn it into a super TV show and movie screen.

The more than 3000 TV channel can easily be browsed by the touch of your mouse. Watch Free good quality picture and sound online TV shows, Movies and Episodes

Online TV is usually challenged in providing good quality picture and sound. I want to tell you that most internet TV software being sold online are scams. They may have 10,000 channels on them, but then again, what’s the use of all that many channels if you never get to watch even 1 in good DVD quality picture.

Let me say that there are also few good quality internet TV softwares that actually have very high quality and at lowest cost. I think the PC 2007 Elite Edition stands a good number among top 10 TV software for online TV.

18. Watch Old classic Movies, TV shows and Sports

Most online TV stations also broad cast a lot of old movies and old TV shows. Old TV series and episodes are also available.

In addition you will have a lot of free internet radio stations that play old music of the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. Travelers can watch Destination Weather Channels Online

International Online TV accessible to people traveling to other countries for business, work or leisure is useful in knowing the state of the weather. When you are traveling China for example, it would be advisable to watch Chinese local TV a week or so before departure.

This will tell you the state of the weather and other things like the politics and other issues that might affect your stay there. Yu don’t to be caught in a blizzard, or storm right at the airport on arrival.

20. Watch Free Educational TV Shows Online with software

There are many educational TV channels online that are useful for children and adults too. In addition there are a lot of shopping, hunting and sports channels that can be a good way of knowing what is selling where or what team has won what and where in the world.

All About Pizza

The term pizza covers a lot of territory. If you want to learn all about pizzas, then you should have a bit of a background on pizzas: specifically the history of pizza, pizza origin, pizza facts, and even pizza trivia such as who invented pizza. The subject also delves into the different types and styles of pizzas. The varieties currently existing defy any attempts at enumeration. Thus, most people who attempt such a task stop at a broad categorization of pizza types according to certain attributes such as crust thickness, crust elasticity, crust baking and cooking procedures, toppings, etc. Aside from general, historical or trivial information, other things are of interest to the pizza lovers. For instance, homemade pizza enthusiasts would like to know certain tips and tricks for making pizza. This includes pizza making techniques, the best pizza crust recipes, pizza toppings, homemade pizza sauce, etc. Some other interesting topics will be frozen pizza dough and where best to attain them, what are the criteria for choosing the, what are the methods for preparing them, etc. <!-more->

It must be obvious that this article is a mite ambitious for wishing to tackle something entitled "all about pizza." However, an attempt is definitely warranted, so here goes.

Some pizza facts and trivia

Accounts of pizza history always begin with the origin of pizza. This one might as well follow the same tack. We have to thank any civilization or race that baked flat bread on hot stones or stone ovens for pizza, for almost certainly, bread like the focaccia was the "mother of the pizza crust." However, the invention of the pizza is more properly attributed to the Neapolitans - the people of Naples, Italy who were baking and making pizza crust topped with tomatoes, oil, and Italian herbs, and spices. This rudimentary and traditional Italian pizza was common peasant fare in Naples. If you want an individual originator and inventor of pizzas, however, then you won't be wrong if you cite Rafaelle Esposito - a native of Naples; he modified the basic Neapolitan pizza recipe and came up with three variants that added mozzarella cheese to the rudimentary Italian pizza toppings.

Now, if you are looking for some topics for small conversation, then you must remember the following trivia. One note of caution, though; you shouldn't blurt these out just to anybody or you'll sound decidedly corny and geeky. Make sure you're talking to someone interested in pizzas before you use the following trivia as conversational gambits.

" Most people in the United States love pepperoni; the least liked toppings are anchovies.

" Pizza was called (and is still called) tomato pie and pizza pie in certain parts of the States.

" The first pizzeria in the United States was opened in New York.

" The pizza industry is worth more than 30 billion dollars in the United States alone and Americans consume around three billion units of pizza every year.

" New York pizza is traditionally plain. Supposedly, New York pizza is unique because of the acidity and hardness of the water in New York. New Yorkers therefore claim that only in New York can you make real New York Pizza.

(New Yorkers must admit, however, that if water is the unique characteristic of New York pizzas, one who uses water adjusted for hardness and acidity to reflect New York water conditions, adds all the usual New York pizza ingredients and toppings, follows all the procedures strictly but makes the pizza in New Jersey can conceivably make an authentic, New York style pizza. But such an assertion, some would say, is just plain cheek.)

Pizza types and pizza styles

The first step to a great homemade pizza is determining what type of pizza you wish to make. After all, different types of pizza have different attributes and thus call for different types of pizza base, pizza toppings and cooking techniques. Would you like to make an authentic Italian pizza, a New York style pizza, a California style pizza, or a Chicago style pizza?

Italian pizza is generally lean, although when you add cheese, its fat level generally rises in proportion. There are various kinds of Italian pizza, too. There are Neapolitan pizzas, of which there are two general types: the marinara and the Margherita. There are various combinations of these as well. Authentic Italian pizza, moreover, is supposedly baked on wood-fired or even coal-fired, stone ovens.

New York pizza, as abovementioned, is generally plain. The mainstay of New York pizza is mozzarella cheese - fresh mozzarella cheese to be precise. One can add garlic, different types of cheeses, anchovies, shrimp, etc but these are usually optional. The pizza dough recipe for traditional New York pizza, on the other hand, calls for high-gluten flour. The result is firm, usually thin, chewy pizza.

The California style pizza is generally known for gourmet flavors. You can say the California pizza has countless variations. The pizza crust, in this case, is light, crisp and generally well risen. The toppings can be out of this world - generally California pizza makers experiment a lot with all kinds of meat, sea food, breakfast dishes, and vegetable for the toppings.

The Chicago style pizza, on the other hand, is generally crusty and very filling. They are characterized by their raised edges; imagine a pre-baked apple pie crust where you can place the fillings on top. Chicago pizza is usually meaty (some variants come stuffed with cheeses and meat layers) and it is eaten with a knife and fork.

You can also start by deciding on the flavor you want. Do you want to make a cheese pizza, a vegetarian pizza or a fruit pizza? Perhaps you want to make a low fat pizza, a low carb pizza, a healthy pizza? Sourdough pizza is also another variant.

Take your pick among your many options. Once you have decided, choosing the recipe would be much easier. If you have decided on an Italian pizza, for instance, then find your Italian pizza crust recipe, your Italian pizza sauce recipe and the overall Italian pizza recipe that will give you a list of toppings and pizza preparation procedures for making an authentic Italian pizza. For an easier time of it, you can opt to use Italian-style frozen pizza dough then just follow the Italian pizza recipe that you've found.

Some pizza making tips and techniques

Hand tossing will help you minimize the lumps in your pizza dough. However, this should be done only after sufficient pizza dough kneading. This process lets your pizza dough develop into the right kind of consistency - that which is suitable for stretching and hand tossing. Hand tossing, however, is not advisable for thick pizza crust varieties.

If you want a crisp and firm pizza that retains its structure even when the moist toppings are added, you can bake the pizza crust before you add the toppings and the pizza sauce. However, for thin pizza crusts, baking the crust after the toppings and sauce have been added is sufficient. For uniform baking and crisping of the crust, use a pizza stone or a pizza screen.

Finally, remember that the protein content of your flour will influence the end product. High-gluten flour will lead to a crisp but chewy crust. Gluten-free flour, however, may lead to very soft dough; additives may have to be used to give the pizza dough strength.

Quick pizza crust recipes and easy homemade pizza recipes of all kinds and style are easily available online. There are tips for baking and preparing frozen pizza dough, making your own pizza dough, preparing the ingredients for the best pizza crust recipe, etc. All you need to start making your very own pizza recipe is an internet connection, a good source of basic pizza recipe, great pizza equipment, your imagination, and lots of time and resources for experimentation

Avoid Highway Robbery by Using The New Crude--WATER

HERE'S THE BAD NEWS.

Engines waste gasoline! Up to 80% of the high-priced gas that you pump doesn't get you anywhere because it goes UNBURNED to the catalytic converter. That means you are getting 0 MPG (zero, zilch, nada) from most of the over-priced gasoline you pump into your tank.

WHY DO COMBUSTION ENGINES WASTE SO MUCH GAS?

That's what they are designed to do--WASTE GAS--because every second of every day, everywhere in the world, every single gas and diesel engine on the planet puts money into the deep, deep, DEEP pockets of Big Oil.

Automotive and fuel technology has been deliberately held back, and people have been kept in the dark about AMAZING inventions and discoveries, in order to sell us lots of gasoline. Sorry, but that's how it is.

For example, the gas could be preheated and better formulated for better combustion--but it's not. The fuel vapor droplets could be smaller for efficient combustion--but they're not. The pre-set computer-controlled air-to-fuel ratio could be more economical--but it's not. The exhaust could be reprocessed to contribute to mileage (there are patents on that)--but it's not. Cars could be using a better carburetor design--but they're not because the patent for a 100 MPG carburetor was bought and buried years ago. Cars could be running completely on water fuel--but they're not because those patents were also bought and then buried along with the inventor (however, the patents ran out recently!). Even the hybrids that Big Auto is selling at luxury car prices don't optimize gasoline combustion and consumption.

HERE'S THE GOOD NEWS.

You can do something about it, ONE CAR AT A TIME, starting with YOUR car.

How? By using ENERGY from WATER.

If that sounds impossible, or crazy, or delusional, I understand. This is something that none of our trusted sources of information--TV, radio, teachers, movies, professors, magazines, dad, scientists, books, Sesame Street--have told us about. Why? See the bad news, above.

I mentioned amazing inventions and discoveries. Many of them have very sophisticated technical patents on them. But the kind of water energy system I am talking about, the one that is affordable and do-able by ME and YOU in OUR cars (not by buying a Big Auto hybrid with a luxury car pricetag), is a do-it-yourself technology, specifically designed for beginners with basic tools and very limited budgets. A working system can be built at home for $20 to $200 worth of parts and installed in your car, truck, or SUV on a weekend. It's a 90-year-old technology that has been revived and developed into a simple, affordable, SAFE system based on low-cost hardware.

It works like this: The main component of the low-cost water energy system is an electrolyzer-a container of water with electrodes in it. The electrolyzer takes a tiny bit of electricity from your car. The electricity "splits" water into hydroxyl gas and feeds it immediately to the engine cylinders. The improved air/fuel mix gets very efficient combustion.

SPINNING WHEELS, NOT HEADS

Remember the bad news at the top? Remember I said that wasted fuel can be as much as 80%? In other words, even though you have paid $3.50 or more per gallon, you are only getting performance from as little as 20%--two gallons out of every ten--of the gas you pay good money for! It puts a whole new complexion on the phrase "highway robbery."

Our heads are spinning from rising gas prices. Now imagine instead that ALL your gasoline is working for you--it's actually turning your wheels and not just being turned into carbon deposits on your engine or exhaust from the catalytic converter. What would it be like for ALL that gasoline to be giving you mileage? It would be a WHOLE LOT MORE ECONOMICAL, that's what! That's what happens when you add the energy from water.

SEEING THE SEA OF ENERGY

Wondering how much energy is in water?

One gallon of water converts to approximately 1,833 gallons of combustible gas. One observer noted that a gallon of water in his water energy system lasted for about 2,700 miles.

"Energy from water" is hard to believe because we are misled by the appearance of water when it's liquied. It looks so, well, WET and noncombustible. But if we could SEE the sea of energy in the water--zillions of hydrogen and oxygen atoms ready to break out and be combustible gas under the right conditions--it would be easy to conceive that, indeed, water can be "burned" in an engine, thus taking advantage of a new "crude"--plain water.

Why aren't scientists telling us about this? Why doesn't it make big headlines? More bad news. Some of them just don't know about it, and some are paid to tell us about anything BUT this. Also, scientists are sometimes far behind empirical evidence from experimenters and inventors. Sometimes a true scientist makes an amazing discovery and is suddenly way ahead of everyone. What happens then? He or she has to fight all the other scientists that are way behind or too vested in the old paradigm. So who are the true scientists around here? A TRUE scientist could be anyone, including a scientist.

THE LAW OF CONSERVATION

Here is something to ponder from Patrick J. Kelly of http://www.PanaceaUniversity.org. He has a delightful way of tilting one's mind out of its box:

"The Law of Conservation of Energy is undoubtedly correct when it shows that more energy cannot be taken out of any system than is put into that system. However, that does not mean that WE cannot get more energy out of a system than WE put into it. A crude example is a solar panel in sunlight. We get electrical power out of the panel but we do not put the sunlight into the panel-the sunlight arrives on its own. This example is simple as we can see the sunlight reaching the solar panel.

"If, instead of the solar panel, we had a device which absorbs some of the energy that Quantum Mechanics observes and then gives out, say, electrical power, would that be so different? Most people say "yes!--it is impossible!" but this reaction is based on the fact that we cannot see this sea of energy. Should we say that a TV set cannot possibly work because we cannot see a television transmission signal?"

BUT ISN'T IT DANGEROUS?

We have been living and driving with danger for decades--it's called GASOLINE! Cars and trucks are planet-polluting bombs on wheels! But we are accustomed to it, right? And for the most part, we don't blow ourselves up.

But in the water energy system, I know, you think we're talking about tanks of compressed hydrogen in the car, but that's not how it is done! Here's the beauty of it:

Hydrogen is already compressed in plain water!

All we do in a water for fuel system is UNCOMPRESS and USE it--immediately, on-demand, in the engine! No hydrogen bombs on board. Just a container of distilled water! And the exhaust is--WATER! You split water, you burn it, you get fantastic mileage, you get a little water left over.

GREEN TECHNOLOGY

You can't get much greener than this unless you go for an engine designed to run completely on water, like the one that was designed and proven by Stanley Meyers when he drove across the United States on approximately 28 gallons of water. (You can see interviews with him on YouTube.) You can't get much more affordable, either. And because this is GREEN technology, and you will not be causing any damage to the car or the engine (far from it), your warranty will most likely be intact AND the government will owe you money for going green!

INSTALL WATER ENERGY SYSTEM, DROP JAW

You could pay someone to install your water for gas system. There are hundreds of people around the world who are constructing and installing water energy systems, as well as driving "watercars" themselves. These people save gas, save money, get much better mileage, and enjoy smoother-running engines and greatly reduced emissions. And that's why they are happy to do the same for you so you can save gas, save money, get much better mileage, and enjoy a smoother-running engine and reduced emissions.

Or you could do it yourself, in which case you would first get instructions, which are available on line. Then you would make a parts list and buy the parts from hardware and electronics stores. Third, you would construct the components of the water energy system, put them all together, and install the system, making all the necessary adjustments to it. You would now be the proud owner of a Water Hybrid Vehicle. And last, after picking up your jaw from the floor, where it has dropped in astonishment at your engine's mileage and performance, you would become an advocate of water energy, as I have.

BETTER COMBUSTION FOR THE MIND

To really grasp the implications and possibilities here, we must first clean the carbon deposits out of our minds. Using waterfuel is an approach to our cars and fuel that requires more participation from us. The whole water energy system consists of physical components PLUS your mind and attitudes about fuel consumption. To really optimize your waterfuel system, you will also be using fuel warmer, some Kiker wires to improve the spark, Xylene to add to your gasoline, a low-friction synthetic motor oil, a couple bottles of fuel treatment to clean carbon deposits from old unburned fuel out of your engine, a MAP sensor enhancer to keep the car computer from over-correcting the fuel mix back to over-rich, tires that are always fully inflated, and a real-time mileage tracker so that you won't have to use an entire tank of gas to know what mileage you are getting.

Perhaps the most important thing is this:

Trust yourself.

When you use an "alternative" fuel-efficiency system, you are an experimenter who is going against the herd and chances are, you are going to get some flack. Don't be fooled by self-appointed "experts" who don't have hands-on experience and say it can't be done. When they laugh or frown or condescend and say, "It's scientifically impossible," well, first of all, you know they are not "true scientists" (so why are they acting like they know what "scientifically" means?). Ask them if they have ever tried it themselves. You will find they have not. Further discussion might be fruitless, but you can try. Tell them to just wait and see. See for yourself. Don't wait ten years for big industry to do it because they don't want to GIVE you anything--they are only thinking about what they can GET from you while they continue making empty promises.

WHAT CAN A WATER ENERGY SYSTEM REALLY DO FOR ME?

Well…

How much will gas cost the next time you fill your tank?

A water energy system won't lower the price of ALL gasoline.

It will lower the price of YOURS. But don't just take my word for it.

Leslie Lackman is an advocate of the application of free, unlimited energies--mind, water, life force--to cars, health, wellness, and performance.
